Liberty Utilities’ New Hampshire gas utility has been aggressively expanding its territory over the last few years. Their expansion plans have encountered resistance in many communities, however, leading to:
- DG 21-008 planned gas expansions with gas contract with Tennessee Gas Pipeline. Proposed “Londonderry Alternative” instead of Granite Bridge:
- Cancellation of planned gas expansions into Jaffrey, Rindge, Swanzey and Winchester
- Hanover and Lebanon’s active opposition to gas expansion into their communities
- Objections to a natural gas franchise in Keene (and to procedural failings at the PUC), resulting the PUC granting (in part) a motion for reconsideration of its decision and allowing for further proceedings before a final decision.
The major expansion project planned was Granite Bridge – information on this project is being maintained here.
